Affiliate Disclosure

The short version: Woodwork Handbook earns affiliate commissions. If you buy a product after following one of our affiliate links, the seller pays us a share of the sale. It costs you nothing extra, and no company can pay to be recommended in our guides.

Where our affiliate links actually are

At the moment there is exactly one, and it is worth being specific about it, because it is easy to miss: the sign-up box that appears on this site. When you enter your details there and submit, you are taken to TedsWoodworking, a third-party woodworking plans and training product sold through the ClickBank marketplace. That handoff is an affiliate link. If you buy from that page, we are paid a commission.

We do not currently put affiliate links inside our articles. When a guide names a specific tool or material and links out at all, that link goes to the manufacturer's own page and earns us nothing. If we ever add paid links to article content, we will say so on this page and label them where they appear — before you click, not after.

What a commission does not buy

• It does not buy a recommendation. No manufacturer, retailer or vendor pays us to name their product, and none of them sees our articles before publication.
• It does not change your price. A commission is paid by the seller out of their own margin. You pay the same as you would going direct.
• It does not mean we tested the product. We are a research and writing operation, not a testing lab. Where a guide names products, it is reporting published specifications, certifications and availability, and it tells you so on the page. We do not score or rank products we have not tested.

Who we have a commercial relationship with

ClickBank, as an affiliate promoting the TedsWoodworking product described above. That is the complete list as of the date below. We are not currently enrolled in Amazon Associates or any tool-retailer affiliate program, which is why our tool guides carry no paid links.

Why we tell you this

Because you should be able to see where our money comes from and weigh what we write accordingly. US Federal Trade Commission guidance asks publishers to disclose material connections clearly and close to the point of the link, and we would rather over-explain it here than have you find out later.
